What is SAT?

SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States and increasingly accepted globally.

Purpose:

  • Primarily for undergraduate admissions
  • Also used for scholarship consideration in the US and other countries

Format (New Digital SAT):

  • Sections:
    1. Reading & Writing – 64 minutes
    2. Math – 70 minutes
  • Conducted digitally on a laptop or tablet

Scoring:

  • Total score: 400 to 1600
  • Good colleges require: 1200+, Ivy Leagues: 1400+

Validity:

  • 5 years
